Yunnan Border Trade Co., Ltd.
We entered the flower industry in 2012, starting with domestic cold-chain logistics for fresh flowers in China. At that time, the flower industry in Yunnan was growing rapidly, but the cold-chain system was still underdeveloped, and the rate of flower damage during cross-province transportation was relatively high. While running our logistics company, we spent a long time riding along with trucks, recording temperatures, and observing the condition of flowers upon arrival at their destinations. Gradually, we came to understand that the key to keeping flowers fresh lies in meticulous control over the entire supply chain — including temperature management, handling procedures, and packaging methods.

Back then, we spent most of our time traveling between flower farms, warehouses, and markets across Yunnan. We saw many problems during transportation — flower damage, poor temperature control, delays that affected freshness. Little by little, we realized that flowers are actually very delicate products. Transportation is not simply about moving goods from one place to another. Small details can directly affect the condition of the flowers.

Because we were doing logistics, we had the opportunity to work closely with many flower farms and growers for a long time. We gradually learned how flowers are planted, harvested, graded, packed, and prepared for shipment. Over the years, we became more and more familiar with flower quality and supply sources, and these experiences later became one of our biggest advantages.

Even today, most of our flowers are still sourced directly from farms without middlemen. We have always believed that if you want to maintain good quality, you need to stay close to the source.

Later on, we started trying flower exports, beginning with markets in Central Asia and Southeast Asia. We still clearly remember our very first export order — a shipment of roses to Kyrgyzstan. At that time, our team handled almost everything ourselves, from flower selection and packaging to loading the truck. We were honestly very nervous because none of us knew what the flowers would look like after such a long journey. When the customer later told us the flowers arrived in good condition, it really gave us a lot of confidence.

Even today, we still personally visit farms regularly and inspect flower quality ourselves. Although our company now has dedicated teams for exports, warehousing, and transportation, our way of working has not really changed. We still pay great attention to details because in the flower business, problems often come from the smallest things.

For us, this business has never been only about selling flowers. More importantly, it is about trust, long-term cooperation, and making sure our customers truly receive flowers that meet their expectations.
